Working on a website

I have been working a lot each day trying to develop a website. Well, Jason is doing a lot of the developing, and I'm editing together photos. Here is one of them that I did that I really love.
Come on now, isn't she one of the cutest little girls ever! I'll try to be better about posting, especially my fun stuff from trips and what not that I just take more randomly.

Newborn Jasaiah

I just love newborns! It is so much fun to shoot babies, especially when they are brand spankin' new. Jasaiah was so great and is beautiful.

He did that one all on his own! He was so chill and sleepy the whole photo-shoot! What a great guy.

I had so much fun with Cadmium the other day. It was great to do a shoot in downtown DeKalb. She took me to the Egyptian Theater where she participates in plays a lot. She is such a cute girl and so fun.

Lizzie's Baptism Dress

My Aunt Beth is a great seamstress. She offered Katie to do Lizzie's baptismal dress. It is so beautiful, before she got baptized we really didn't get to take a good picture of her in it so I took a few when we were there last weekend. Isn't she beautiful?

Mom and Dad

My mom and dad also volunteered to do some pictures for me. This is my favorite of them. They have a good house for lighting portraits.

GQ Man

Peter eagerly volunteered to take pictures with me over Labor Day weekend. He was so funny! He was doing all these GQ poses completely on his own. I actually had a really hard time getting him to do a serious pose! This is one of my favorites.

One Year Portraits 2

This is another from the portraits I tried to take for his birthday. I had an idea to blow up a lot of blue balloons but with all the lighting problems I was having, this is one of the only ones I like from those and you can only just barely see the balloon.  He also has a hard time sitting. As soon as you set him on the ground on his bum, he's up and running around the next second. I also had to use the flash on my camera because even with all the lights in our house we could get, it still wasn't enough. Welp, it is what it is, I still like the shot either way, just not what I imagined them to be.

One Year Portraits 1

What a rollercoaster! I have been planning  (in my mind) for the last week or so what I wanted to do for Isaac's one year portraits. Yesterday I got a lot more serious about it since time is running out (he turned one a week ago) and started planning for "the big shoot" today by looking up picture ideas and getting clothes and props together. Whoa, it seemed like one thing after another went wrong! I had three locations planned out in my mind outside and a few inside. Outside we got attacked by hundreds of mosquitoes, literally, not an exaggeration. At first only about 10 got me, but when we moved to another spot, they were swarming us, especially poor little Isaac, so we picked him up and ran for it back to our apartment and attempted to do some indoors... that didn't go so well either, long story. I'm going to have to play around with indoor natural lighting; it was hard to get enough light so that it wasn't blurry. I haven't gone through all the pictures yet, so if there are any good ones I'll post them soon. If anyone has any tips on shooting indoors (and one year olds who move fast) please let me know!!

What can I say? I have some seriously photogenic nieces and nephews as you can tell, and I haven't gotten to my sister's children yet. This is my nephew Jack in the Portland rose garden.

This is my beautiful niece Alli. We met up with my brother's family in Portland. I haven't seen Alli in 2 years; she'd grown quite a bit! I love this picture of her. I was just snapping pictures and caught her before she could "pose" with a great smile! All her smiles are great, but I especially like this one.
